October 26 – December 1, 2025 | Kamora’s Cultural Corner
This season, Kamora’s Cultural Corner is practicing self-determination aka Kujichagulia, in the face of systems that continue to fail our people. On November 1st, the federal government is cutting all food stamps, and most of the families in our neighborhood depend on them. And as always, our community is responding with love, creativity, and collective care.
We’re inviting everyone to Step In, Be In, and Radiate Out with us; three ways to help sustain this work while supporting our communities and building the community infrastructure we need to navigate our current political and societal realities.
Buy a Beanie ($25)
Step in with us by purchasing a KCC Beanie for $25. Every beanie sold funds the Kwanzaa Dinner at our December 27th Thinking & Doing Day at the Keney Park Pond House — one of our most joyful, abundant, and communal celebrations of the year.
Wear your beanie to Kwanzaa or gift one to another community member. Every hat = a plate at the table and warmth for the season.
💚 Step In. Show up. Share the feast.
Support Monthly on Patreon ($25/month)
Be in the work with us by joining our $25/month Patreon community — our foundational tier of ongoing support.
$25 per month supports the needs of the future: books for college or self-education, a winter coat when the voucher doesn’t come in, dinner with a friend when you just need to feel seen. Your monthly gift keeps Sterling Street open, pays healing artists and facilitators, supports families navigating inequitable systems, and funds our free community meals and creative events all year long.
💜 Be in the work. Be in the love. Be in community.
Donate $25 Gift Cards or Cash
Radiate your love outward by helping us feed families directly.
Bring or send $25 grocery gift cards or $25 cash donations to support our neighbors who are losing their food stamps on November 1st. These funds will go straight into the hands of families who need them most — before the holidays, before Thanksgiving, before Christmas.
🧡 Radiate care. Radiate abundance. Radiate love.
This campaign connects everything we love and everything we fight for — food, joy, and self-determination. Every act of giving helps us make sure that cruelty won’t win, because we won’t starve — not physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

Sooo, some how Kamora Herrington and recorded a conversation longer than the last one. I guess we really be running our mouths. Check out this video if you want some background noise while working on a passion of yours. We caught up and discussed a few topics, events in the area and all around randomness. Excuse the glitchy-ness. This is literally outside but also exactly how we connect. Thanks Kamora!!!
p.s. Yes, I fidget a lot.

Kamora's Cultural Corner
We finally grabbed a random moment to capture one of our chats. Kamora and I sit and discuss Kamora's Cultural Corner (KCC) and Sterling Street Sanctuary and Nature Reserve.
